Sam Dinsmore

I have always found myself most at home outdoors and find joy and contentment in nature. In 2013 I spent a year living on a community farm in Wales where I learnt about sustainable living and worked on the land to provide food for the community. During this time, I ran a community engagement project for young people in the area, teaching propagation and plant care.

I have spent most of my career working in the third sector as a Project Manager as well as working with refugees in the U.K and abroad. In 2019 I decided to retrain and turn my passion for horticulture into my career. In 2020 I gained my certificate in the RHS Level 2 – Principles and Practice of Horticulture. During my year of studies, I worked on a large estate in Suffolk. Here I worked in the walled kitchen and ornamental garden, in the nursery, orchard and on the wider estate. I gained many practical skills including growing and harvesting heritage and heirloom fruit, vegetables, and native plants.

Working for Greener Growth encompasses my love for supporting wellbeing in the community through interaction with nature, well as my values of sustainability and environmental protection.

My current work with Greener Growth is both in maintenance on our commercial sites and working on community projects in the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire area.
